We're over the moon to announce the opening of applications for Djangonaut Space 2025 Session 5! 🎉
Group learning, sustainability, and longevity are the keywords for the Djangonauts Space mentorship program.
Djangonauts are members of the community who wish to level up their current Django code contributions and potentially take on leadership roles in Django in the future. 🦄
Djangonaut Space is an 8-week group mentoring program where individuals will work self-paced rate in a semi-structured learning environment. Each team will be formed by 3-4 Djangonauts, along with a Navigator and a Captain to help guide them through the journey.
🕐 Availability: we recommend having at least 5 hours weekly available to the program.
People who struggle the most during the program are those with the least available time.

One hour a week will be a team meeting to discuss project updates and any questions that come up. The rest of the time Djangonauts will work at their own pace on contributions and check-in with questions or discussions asynchronously in our private Discord.

Every team will work on a project, including but not limited to: Django Core, django CMS, Django Debug Toolbar, and Wagtail. Read up on each of the topics and discover every project before applying, so you can express your interest in one or more projects involved in the program.
