Aiming for the stars

We’d love to help more people attend more conferences. The human connection of conferences is extremely important to bringing someone into the Django, Python and / or open-source community. This also means we need our membership to continue to use the financial aid that’s available!

Last year we mentioned two things we wanted to work on. Guidelines on how we award financial aid and supporting hardware reimbursements. Thankfully, we've achieved both of those! While we're still working on the hardware specific form, the financial aid guidelines are available here.

Our goal for this year is to send at least one person to the next Django on the Med. The event was a success in 2025 and we would love to provide the opportunity to Djangonauts to launch further into the contributing cosmos. If you'd like to help make this happen, please consider sponsoring us in 2026!
