Working together

Cooperation and working together have always been at the heart of Djangonaut Space. This session, our Djangonauts truly embraced that spirit by hosting two pair programming sessions between teams. These sessions were a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other, solve problems together, and share approaches across projects. It’s exactly the kind of cross-team collaboration we dreamed of fostering, and our community made it a reality. Team Neptune worked together to share some ideas in Django, and Team Mercury worked on djangoCMS.
It's with this team effort that Mar and Vanessa have been featured on a djangoCMS blog post.

🌟 Farhan, Keanya, Pradhvan, Raphael, and Tobe became DSF Individual Members
🌟 Felipe released a brand-new package wagtail-lms
🌟 Afi delivered a keynote at PyCon Ghana, inspiring even more people in our global community.
🌟 Tim received the Malcolm Tredinnick Memorial Prize, honoring his exceptional contributions and leadership.
🌟 Yash and Bhuvnesh hosted DjangoDay India, growing the Django community in one of the largest Python ecosystems.
🌟 Afi and Dawn were named PSF Fellows for their sustained impact and service.
🌟 Tom shepherded a DEP to approval, shaping the future direction of Django itself.
🌟 Lilian improved the Trac β€œView Tickets” page, making it easier for contributors to navigate Django’s issue tracker.

Events that create connections

django_day_india

Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to connect and grow. This year marked the very first Django Day India, and a few Djangonauts had the chance to experience the event together. πŸŽ‰
Annabelle also gave a lightning talk at the Swiss Python Summit, where she shared her journey through Djangonaut Space. πŸ’œ
We can't wait to attend PyLadiesCon because Hwayoung and Rahmat will give a talk, and last but not least, Sarah and Afi will give a Keynote πŸ™Œ

What's next

Djangonaut Space is a booster rocket that helps Djangonauts dive deeper into contributing to the Django ecosystem. The community will be cheering you on as you take your next steps wherever your journey leads.
